tom hanks' dream job

Tom Hanks was the first actor my sleeping brain began relying on. He'd usually be cast as an antagonist in some kind of death struggle atop a cliff or steep hill. There was one recurring dream where he played Napoleon, or someone pretending to be Napoleon, and I had to throw him off a hilltop into a rocky creek.

I routinely celeb-dream. In the dreams, the celebrities aren't themselves, but are playing someone -- my sister (not my actual sister, but a sister who looks like, say, Catherine Keener) or whatever.

This is, apparently, a family condition. My mother once told me of a dream in which Jimmy Carter was vying for her affections in high school. He was the quarterback of the football team, and my mother was a cheerleader.

My dreams frankly rarely feature people I know playing themselves. This seems odd to me. Does my sleeping brain suffer from some kind of
Capgras delusion? Or do I just watch too many movies and television shows?
